Performances
Dance Explosion Studio serves Charlottesville by sharing the joy of dance with the community. Students are provided the opportunity to further their dance education experience by performing at various venues at the end of each semester.Dance Explosion's Company is made up of a diverse mix of high-level students from various dance disciplines focused on developing new and innovative performance works. The Company's mission is to enrich and empower the local community by raising the bar on dance excellence. This is accomplished through the Company's particular style, which provides a unique blend of the hot rhythms and power of hip hop, jazz and Latin dance, the elegance of lyrical, ballet, ballroom, and contemporary dance, and the historic culture of Hawaiian and Tahitian dance. The Company performs throughout Charlottesville and the surrounding areas at outreach events, community festivals, charitable galas, Hawaiian luaus, and other special events, and is available for performances by request. Company - "Ritmo
Con Ache" Dance Explosion's 2007 performing company was an exciting ballroom and latin dance group under the direction of Leah Soderholm and Lea Moore. The company performed at various venues throughout the Charlottesville community and beyond exhibiting a fusion of styles such as salsa, cha-cha, west coast swing, and samba blended with hot hip hop and jazz moves!
